Hi Blade, I am sorry if I misunderstood. I am the RSC for the Bath and District SAA Group which meets in Bath on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday afternoon in the month. We are not a class as such. Just a group of people who enjoy painting together. You are welcome to join us one afternoon if you wish.

Hi there thanks for the swift response and not appology necessary - my wording I suspect - I would be most interested in coming along to see what the group is like and of course how easy it would be for me to get to as the traffic at your end of the drive is a bit heavy at times to say the least. Could you let me know where it is held and at what time please, that way I can enter it into my GPS and get the directions.

Hi Blade,
We meet on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday each month starting at 1.30 ish and finishing around 4.15 ish.
The address is the United Reformed Church Halls, Grove Street, Bath BA2 6PJ. Unfortunately we do not have any allocated parking, so it is usually on road. Some or our members use Park and Ride.
We would be delighted to mee you if you can make it sometime.

Dear LindyLou,

If you are an SAA member you can use the new Members Near Me facility. It can be found in the red tabs across the top of the screen. All you need to do is click this and then enter your postcode and it will display all of the local SAA members near you. Then if you wish to make contact with them you can do this securely through the SAA website and nobody needs to know any of your private information and you won't be able to see theirs either.

This is being used by members every single day and people are most delighted with the responses they have received so far.

Please do give it ago and let us know how you get on.

Happy Painting.

Ashley (SAA)

Just had a look at Members Near Me.... but you have no idea who you are contacting... male or female etc!! Surely it would be nice if you could read a little paragraph what the person's interests are.

Hi LindyLou,

I am glad you have taken the time to have a look but unfortunately we cannot provide anybodies gender or any information about the person because it is their discression whether or not they wish to use the facility.

What happens is, when you click to contact them you fill out a small profile and you provide them with as little or as much information that you wish to. They will receive an email from the SAA saying that somebody has tried to contact them and within this email it will display the profile and information that you filled in. When they click reply they can also fill out a profile and hopefully at this point you would know more about them.

But we cannot display anymore information because people may not wish to use it. You can see the profile section that i am talking about by clicking 'My profile' in the top left hand corner of your screen, and then in the blue boxes on the left you will see 'My Members Near Me profile' and this will take you through to the editable profile. Should you decide to contact people this is the form you fill out and they will receive a copy of this, and at that point if they wish to respond they can also fill out this form.

I hope this makes sense.

Happy Painting
Ashley (SAA)
