I watch a lot of the channel's programmes and often try to improve my skills by trying to immitate some of the artist's work. However most of the time there is no mention of what materials have been used like type and make of paper and colour so I am never sure when my efforts do not achieve the same results whether it is down to technique or possibly that I haven't used the same / correct materials. Is it possible for a bit more detail to be given. One artist who I hope would do this is Hazel Soan who is the artist I would most love to emulate.
Thanks Mario

Hi Mario,

Thank you for your enquiry and it is something that the SAA have been looking in to. The idea of the Painting and Drawing Channel programmes is to give everybody just enough guidance from the Artists so that people can attempt to replicate the picture, however these programmes are not the complete product as they are edited down from the DVD's. At the moment the only way for you to receive the product list would be to buy the DVD.

However we are looking into listing the material information on the website alongside the DVD. So if you were to click as though you wanted to buy the DVD you will be able to have the list of products and then click to take you to the exact product should you wish to purchase it. Although this is a brand new service that we are looking into providing and it is not quite available yet.

I hope this helps,

Happy Painting
