Can someone please tell me how to resize my pics to the correct dmensions for the competition.

I had the same trouble and as I'm no computer expert I'm afraid I didnt know how to resize it the proper way but I realised that I had taken the first photograph of my painting using my camera on 'photo image mode'. (This didnt download on the competion entry) I took a second photograph with the setting set on 'automatic' and this worked OK. Perhaps someone with more computer knowledge may have an easier way to solve your problem.

Hello Emmy! Do you use a computer programme linked to your digital camera to download images?
For my (Lumix) camera, there was a programme called Photofun Studio, and I have a second photo library on my laptop called Picassa.
First, highlight the image to want to Resize, the look for "Tools" in the Menu.
In both of these programmes, I can go into "Tools" on the top Menu, and there you should find (??!) a "Resize" tab.
If you can do this, have a look, and play with it to see how you can change the Digital Image size of the Image File.
Often, to send an image by email requires a smaller sizing, less than 1MB, and I usually try to resize my photo images to 1024 x 768, which as a rule of thumb gives a file of about 700KB (0.7MB)

Have a play with an image which you can afford to lose if it goes wrong, and I'm sure that you'll be telling others how to Resize before long!

I do have Picassa on my laptop so I'll have a go at that and see what happens. (So far I must admit I dont really understand Picassa except how to fix images)
This may seem a silly question but can this be done (resize) with a short video clip taken with a digital camera at the moment I cant send this by email because it seems to be 'too large' (too long!) to send.

Hello Gezandsuerogers and Emmy! I'm afraid I can't give any advice on resizing a short video clip, as I've never tried to or had to do this and I'm not sure if Picasa supports video clips.
having said the above, I'm confident that someone out there in our Membership will have the expertise to advise you how to go about it.
