We have dropped Sky because of their habit of continually increasing the charges (another due on Sep 1).
The only thing I really miss is the painting channel and wondered if it could be added to the Freesat stations.

It was on Freesat and then it wasn't. We bought freesat not just for the painting and drawing channel but it was a bonus as it was on it every day. All of a sudden it disappeared. Very disappointed. I wish it would come back on again.

The simple truth is that it is too expensive to put the programmes onto Freesat. it is free to the viewer and because of that it has to be paid for by the programme makers.

The painting and Drawing Channel is on least cost Sky and it is free on web at http://www.thepaintinganddrawingchannel ... ytime.html and on the SAA web site and on www.Youtube.com. The DVDs of each programme are also available from the SAA home shop.

Hope this helps a bit.

John

I had freeview already, then on freesat i saw the painting channel, so we had freesat installed, so i was ready for 4pm, it was very good, then it disappeared, now im stuck with freesat.

Come on let us have the painting channel, I wouldn't mind even having to pay for the channel, unless your wealthy, not on povererty line, we cant afford sky, the basic channels is approx £20 for th first 3 months then they put the prices up then your stuck.

See if your Freesat box can access Free To Air channels.
I manually tuned my Goodman's Freesat box in January to the Propeller channel.
The P&D channel is on this daily at 4pm.
Tune to:
Frequency 11303
Symbol Rate 27500
LNB Polarisation Horizontal.
You may also tune in some unwanted channels at the same time, but you can delete these.

Good luck.
