I live in a village between ely and newmarket, and there's no classes unless you go to the college and pay £85+ or concession £64, I cant afford all that. Where I live I can hire a large room so if anyone is interested in starting a club please contact me on
lizzy4458@btinternet.com

p.s. I am actually going to knuston hall, in northants, for a weekend of watercolour painting, is anyone interested in coming its full board and you paint all the time, I love it, as I go and make jewellery,

I was frustrated on moving to my present address 2 years ago...as had been a very active member of a very active Art Society 125 members and several exhibitions per year etc. Here, nothing....I no longer drive so cannot access the larger groups...however.....others who have a similar dilemma may be interested to know how I discovered a group in which I hope to take an active part.....I gave a presentation to the local church luncheon group recently, talk on history of colour, then my own journey into painting, ending with a demonstration wet-in-wet watercolour.....41 people attended and they loved it... this led to me being invited to join a group in the next village who presently are attending art classes supported by the local Council whose subsidy is ending shortly with all the cutbacks......my point is.....I have been approached with a view to helping this group of 16 after the summer......this idea may work for others who perhaps have some experience with various artwork media and would like to be involved within a group...So, find out where classes are subsidised by Councils, if they are ending their support because of cutbacks then make enquiries and you may find you have a ready made group in your midst....I am 75 years of age and will enjoy helping this group of people with my knowledge and enthusiasm gained over the years and numerous workshops attended and notes made etc...... so, if you can't find a group to join....I may have given you some ideas....good luck......
