I live in an unspoilt area of Spain which is wonderful but this does cause problems when I want to enter competitions or exhibitions. How can one submit entries for events in the UK when there is a specified 'handing in day'?

Chandy Rodgers replies: You could try approaching the organisers direct - they may make an exception and receive your work by post or special delivery. Alternatively contact the Society RSC who lives nearest to the exhibition venue and see if there is anyway they can help. Perhaps you could send your painting to them so that they can deliver it on the set handing in day. Obviously, glazed work will prove more of an problem than unglazed and this factor would need to be considered. You never know - you may find a really friendly RSC who will volunteer to frame the work for you! If you have a set exhibition in mind do contact us at Head Office and we will see if we can help. Good Luck.
