I watch Alwyn Crawshaw's TV programme with great interest and I am always astonished at how simple everything looks when he does it. However, one of the many things he does which I find difficulty in following is his use of the "Rigger "brush. He does not show you how he loads the brush but he can paint in all the branches, leaves, etc.. in a couple of trees before he has to replenish the rigger. On the other hand, I have to dip the rigger in the medium after every twig. Could you please tell me the secret?

Alwyn Crawshaw replies: "There is no secret! Load the brush with watery paint by flattening the bristles in the watery paint and rolling it round. This should fill the brush and off you go. If you use 'dry' paint then you will only get a twig at a time. Good luck!"
