Has anyone used the interactive acrylics ?, can they be used with standard acrylics, ?, any other comments and information would be most welcome.

Happy painting

Hi Ian1! Regarding the use of Atelier Interactive Acrylic, and mixing them with "Standard" Acrylics.
There are perhaps a couple of issues here, the first being that the AIA's have the unique property of being "Re-Wettable", and in this respect, they behave a little like Oils, in that you can go back to them within a specified time and Re-Work them.
"Standard" Acrylics don't have this property, as when they dry, you may have noticed if you leave a bruch charged with Acrylic to set, its usually "Bye Bye Brush!"

Accepting the above, if you mix AIA and "Standard" Acrylic, you will create a hybrid which is neither one nor the other. My advice would be to use them seperately.

I hope the above may help, but come back to me if you want any further information.

Very best wishes,
