We are a little group of intrepid artists going to the Arctic this June and are looking for a couple more people to join us.

21st June - 2nd July 2011.
12 days in Spitsbergen at 80o North, only 600 miles from the North Pole - Midsummer under the Midnight Sun.

All welcome, from 'just dabblers' to professionals as we attempt to capture the essence of glaciers, ice bergs, tiny arctic flowers and wonderful arctic wildlife including thousands of sea birds, walrus, reindeer and hopefully polar bears!

Mary-Anne Bartlett of Art Safari (www.artsafari.co.uk) will be on hand to advise and assist in our painting. Our floating studio is a beautiful classic yacht (max 20 passengers) but we'll spend most of our time ashore, sketching, painting, sculpting...

Please see http://thepolarpeople.co.uk/art-in-the-arctic/ for all the details.

At £3685, this holiday certainly isn't cheap but if you've been dreaming of painting or photographing in the Arctic it is exceptionally good value compared with cruise ship voyages with little time to stop and sketch.

We hope you can join us!

Now you're just teasing aren't you, -- I can hardly afford my paints.

Needless to say I am salivating at the thought of such a trip, - oh well -- maybe one day.

I have just checked the date of posting for this trip( last year)!
can anybody point me in the direction of artwork done on this trip-- I would really like to see this.

Many thanks.
