Hi, I sell quite a few of my artworks online which means I have to send them via a courier, unfortunatly most wont insure against damage of artwork although they are happy to deliver it. Could our membership cover this.

Thank you for your query regarding the insurance of Artwork during the delivery process, and i would like to let you know that the SAA are looking into this. It is something that we are trying to find a solution for because we have difficulties within one of our competitions when people need to Courier their Art work. At the moment it is not a service the SAA can include within our insurance bracket, however we are looking into existing courier services that may be able to offer the insurance of paintings during the delivery procedure.

Unfortunately i cannot provide a solution yet but within the near future we would like to have a system to either recommend or put in place for people like yourself.

Hi There,

We have been looking into providing you with a solution here at the SAA today, and we have managed to find a way for you to transport your pictures whilst being insured.

The great news is if you have registered an Exhibition with the SAA and you or your close relatives decide to drive to and from the Exhibition with the picture/s in your personal transport then they will be covered under your Exhibition insurance with the SAA.

If you are looking to cover your paintings and transport them for any other reason then we have found a company that will provide the right insurance whilst they are on the move. You will need to contact the company to make sure they are happy to cover the areas that you travelling to and from so i have listed their contact details for you below:
