Hi all I have dabbled in painting for years but never had the time to really enjoy in a relaxed way. I am addicted to buying art books and supplies with the intention of starting to paint seriousley when I retire only 15 more months to go. To get me back in the right frame of mind and keep the inspiration going I have started to do pen and ink drawings which I find dont need a lot of prep or materials. I look forward to having some like minded friends to ask for guidance once I start. Just writing this makes me want to get the pens out so speak to you soon.

Hi ape1952! Welcome to SAA! You will certainly find like minded people here and by using the "Members near Me" button at the top of the page, you may find SAA artists around you!
I'm sure you are looking forward to your retirement, but beware - I'm busier now than when I was working!!
