This class is for painting in acrylics or watercolours. It designed for anyone who wants to develop and improve painting skills, and also for the students who want to prepare their art portfolio for Degree applications. It provides an introduction to the use of painting media and materials, the selection and development of subject matter, and to the use of line, tone, colour, proportion, scale and composition. The course is designed to develop confidence in the handling of media and materials, and in the development of creative ideas. On completion of the course, students will have acquired a broad skills base and a thorough understanding of a range of techniques and of the use of paint based media. Students will also have learned how to instigate and develop creative ideas. These courses are suitable for both complete beginners and experienced artists.

Valid on Saturday and Sunday morning 10am-1pm, afternoon 2pm–5pm, or evening 6pm-9pm. Lessons may take place outside, pending weather conditions. Different from other large art classes where you may not get much individual tutorial, there are maximun of 10 students per class so that you can learn more and gain more.

Guided by Yinjie, the classes aim to provide students with an easy to follow structure to understand Painting principles. Yinjie will work individually with each student using different methods to help everyone find their own value and opinion on art, which enables students to come up with a great full finished work that exceeds expectations. Classes are limited to 10 participants to ensure that each member gets a lot of individual attention during the three hour classes.
