Hi!

I am just a newbie painter. I admit that I am not that great. Actually, I just started attending art classes. I am not a born painter but I really wanna learn how to draw. Some people told me that I need to learn some of the basics in drawing like scaling and gridding. I have no idea about that so i searched the web about that. Upon searching, I accidentally discover this site. I am quite interested with the drawing kit and I am planning to but it. I think it is easy to use. I wanna ask you opinion about this. Please help me guys.

Here is the site.

Hello Poponapipo!

I would encourage you to have a go at Scaling and Gridding, as this way you can get get everything in about the right place, and then, when you're more confident, perhaps try to draw without the lines. It may seem obvious, so forgive me for mentioning it, but make sure your grid lines are as feint as you can, as long as you can see them as a guide, if you are going to use watercolour.
You can rub these lines out through the dried watercolour if you are careful.

I wish you the best of luck and hope you are inspired to move ahead with this wonderful pastime!

Best wishes,

Steve Williams
