me again...sorry, not able to add as a reply I don't add modeling paste to the paint! Bearing in mind the painting I apply it onto the canvas with palette knives, let it dry and THEN paint over it, The textures you can get with this are just fenomenal. Regarding the future cracking - it won't happen if the paste applied is no thicker then 1cm. regards, Irina

Hiya, I'm new to the site and just scanning through. I want to develop my texured work and have modelling paste on order so am interested to see the discussion around supports. I've been using canvas up until noe but like the idea of a rigid support to do some really heavy stuff. Any suggestions as to a support which is rigid, light weight and cost effective? Regards-Gab
