I have this week entered details of five paintings for SAA insurance at an exhibition held in a local school hall.
I received a telephone call from Amy at informing me the SAA could not cover me with insurance because there are children at the school. I explained to her the exhibition was held over the weekend when the children were not present, that it was staffed during the exhibition and locked at night also that I had previously exhibited at many exhibitions held in schools that had not been queried. Amy said she would come back to me but so far I have since heard nothing.
I am sure that many other clubs and artists show their work in school halls. Is this a new restriction on the insurance policy? I could see no mention in the terms.

Good Afternoon,

I am sorry to hear that you have not had a reply from Ami yet and I will look into this for you.

I can confirm your paintings will be covered in this exhibition as it is not in school hours and will be open purely for the exhibition.

I will personally send you an e-mail confirmation.

Kind Regards

Tracey
SAA Administrator
