David Bellamy replies "If you want to use a tinted watercolour paper, such as Bockingford, I advise to carefully consider the mood of your planned painting before choosing your colour. If a cool colour is the most appropriate for your needs, then you need to lean towards the blue, eggshell or perhaps the grey, If however, you want a warm, sunny feeling, you would do better to choose the cream or oatmeal tints"
