Has anyone tried the watercolour paper being offered on the Painting & Drawing Channel? Does it streach well? Does it cockle badly? Bought some from another supplier and it was useless

Hi Indaloman! I run a lot of both Demonstrations and Workshops at art groups around my area, and regardless as to whether I'm using Watercolour or Acrylics, I always use the Rough SAA Practice Paper. I go through so much and its extremely cost effective - around 40 pence per Half Imperial sheet.
As I've stated, I use this for Acrylics also; I'm a quick painter and don't have a drying problem.
I stretch the paper before using it and have never had a cockling problem with it.

I hope this helps, but come back to me if you're looking for more information.

Very best wishes,

Steve Williams
