Lynn With all the rain forests being destroyed at an appalling rate I am concerned about the paper I use for sketching and painting, but have located only poor quality recycled paper which appears suitable for light sketching only, certainly not for oil pastels and acrylics which are my favourite media. has any one found any decent recycled paper and if so, where?

John Hello Lynn, I agree with your sentiments, but the only recycled paper we know of is only suitable for drawing or sketching. However we do have bamboo paper which is made from sustainable resources. Go to http://www.saa.co.uk/artmaterials/hahnemuhle-bamboo-pads-paper-3495.html. Also the very best watercolour papers do not use wood pulp or if they do only a small amount, and canvases for oils or acrylics use cotton. So there are some options.

happy painting
John
