SAA Challenge - 2012 - Paint Your Pet

Description/Summary

This year's challenge can be attempted by any SAA member, no matter what subjects you usually paint or your medium of choice.

We are especially keen to hear from you if you've never tried to paint or draw a pet-portrait before.

It doesn't matter whether it's a Rottweiler or a rabbit, a parrot or a Pekinese, we want you to capture your pet in a painting, and then send it to us together with some background information.

To put us fully in the picture, tell us what your pet's called, how long you've been together, whether you found it hard to capture his or her character and why you chose a specific medium. How long did it take you? Did you work from photographs or life?
 

Prizes & Awards

The Editor of 'PAINT' will select entries to publish in the newsletter, and those chosen will receive an arty gift.
