Our club runs on Thursday evenings weekly from 3rd Ashford Scout Hut, Ford Close, Ashford, Middlesex, TW15 3SB

Information

Ashford Art Club has been running in Ashford, Middlesex for forty years.

Our club is open to all, and our membership comprises of professional artists and complete beginners.

At our weekly meetings we have general painting evenings, portrait evenings, still life evenings, demonstrations and workshops.

There are at least two exhibitions a year, and all our members are encouraged to show their paintings.

Members come because they like to paint, paint and chat, and just chat to other artists.

All are made to feel welcome.

Exhibitions

Our next Exhibition will be held on 6th and 7th April 2013, at St James School, Church Road, Ashford, Middlesex.

We will be displaying more than 100 paintings. These paintings vary from complete beginners to professional artists. Please come and browse. You may well be surprised.

We will also be holding a charity auction, raffle and selling refreshments as well as an array of crafts.

The doors are open from 10am to 5pm each day.

We ask our visitors to vote for their favourite painting, and an award is given at the end of Sunday to the artist with most votes.

Awards

Each exhibition we award the Phil Sharpe Shield to the painting that our visitors have voted as their favourite painting.

Tuition

We do not teach at this art club.

You can, however, practice portrait and still life. We set up sessions amoungst our members, normally each month, for portrait and still life.

This can be of great interest to portrait painters, as the cost of models can be quite expensive.

We have member artists at our club who teach acrylic and water colour.

We are also in contact with other artists for life drawings and similar.

We also have demonstrations from professional artists and all are welcomed to these evenings, including visitors.
