The first covers the Tuscan hill farm, for which the book has a full step-by-step demonstration and the second shows the frontispiece of a terrace view over Taormina in Sicily, for which there is a tracing but no demonstration.
Geoff's warm and confident approach gets your attention from the start and he is patient and thorough in his explanations. He tells you both what he is doing and why he is doing it at all stages, demonstrating techniques such as the use of masking fluid, wet-in-wet, graduated washes and the all-important colour mixing.
