Biography

Having obtained a First Class Joint Honours Degree from London University Goldsmiths' College, I went on to teach Design and Technology (primarily Graphics and Resistant Materials)first in London and then in Wiltshire, where I have now lived for more than twenty years. I have sold my paintings on and off for many years but it was not until I was commissioned to illustrate a childrens' book - 'The Scarecrow that Didn't Scare' for StorySack, that I decided to give up teaching and become a full time artist. I take commissions and whilst I sell my work primarily in Wiltshire I have also exhibited and sold at the Mall Galleries in London. I suppose the rural environment forms the major inspiration for my work although still life and animals are also in evidence. At the current time, I work primarily in watercolours but also have a passion for leaded, foiled and fused glass. Both media continue to provide me with never ending challenges.

Exhibitions

'Ducks' was exhibited and sold at The Mall Galleries in London as was the original of 'Uffington' which formed part of The Society of Women Artists' 143rd Annual Exhibition. Digital prints of the latter are available from the artist.

As from January 2013 my work is being exhibited and sold in 'The Divine Cafe' on the A4 at Cherhill, Wiltshire.
