Tracey Wood
I am a Yorkshire girl and live/work in Idle Village, Bradford, West Yorkshire. Home of the world famous 'Idle Working Men's Club', with my husband, two children, two cats and two guinea pigs. Alongside being a full time Wife and Mum, I am a part time Nursery Nurse and Pastel Artist.
I was born in 1961, and I am mostly self taught. Although I dabble in pencil, pen and ink, charcoal, water colours, acrylic and mixed media regularily, I have found soft pastel to be my passion. I love the depth, the range of colours and (I must admit) getting messy.
I believe anyone who has an interest and wants to give it a go, can draw and produce beautiful art if shown how. I give adult beginners lessons and childrens art and craft sessions (age 5 to 11), as well as 1/2 day and full day workshops to primary schools and groups. We can look at pencil, charcoal, pastel (ofcourse), water colour, acrylic, oil pastel and chalk. Landscapes, portraits, still life, etc. and I also do a number of sculpture activities with the children. Please feel free to contact me for more information.
I am also a keen (automatic) digital photographer and constantly take photos to draw from, I would love at some point in my busy life to learn more about photography, play the piano and be fluent in French - maybe one day.
