Tracey Wood
I am a Yorkshire girl and live/work in Idle Village, West Yorkshire. Home of the world famous 'Idle Working Men's Club', with my husband, two children, one cat, three rabbits and three guinea pigs. Alongside being a full time Wife and Mum, I am a part time Nursery Nurse and Artist.
I was born in 1961, and apart from o' level art at school I am mostly self taught. I have drawn very little since leaving school apart form the odd pencil sketch and suddenly got the urge to draw about 3 years ago. I booked myself on a 20 week 'Introduction to Art' course and haven't looked back since. (Moto - have a go, you never know!)
Although throughout the course I dabbled at pencil, pen and ink, charcoal, water colours, acrylic and mixed media, I have found soft pastel to be my passion. I love the depth, the range of colours and (I must admit) getting messy.
I am also a keen (automatic) digital photographer and constantly take photos to draw from, I would love at some point in my busy life to learn more about photography, play the piano and be fluent in French - maybe one day.
