Artist Name: T J K BurkittBiography
Born in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire in 1933. Worked as civil engineer abroad and in road maintenance in GB until retirement in 1991.
I have always been a keen runner and time trial specialist on the bicycle but in recent years have been forced into a more sedentary lifestyle and taken up art, my first love, seriously.
I'm trying to explore how to convey human states of mind, particularly loss and am inspired particularly by the work of the 19th century symbolists and the 20th century surrealists.You may detect a hint of De Chirico in the mix, as well.
