Tuition

I am a qualified teacher with a Post Graduate Certificate of Education, City and Guilds Silk Painting and many years experience of teaching watercolour and silk painting classes.

I offer workshops or demonstrations in silk painting for art or textile groups, Surrey and London area. or I can accommodate a small group in my Studio Sutton, Surrey or I may be able to travel to your area eg Kent, Sussex. Hampshire.
I have listed examples of some of the workshops I can put on in the tuition section.

WATERCOLOUR CLASSES (Sutton,Surrey)
Intermediate Thurs 2-4pm

SILK PAINTING lessons or workshops for groups by arrangement at my studio or I may be able to travel to your group.

PRIVATE OR SHARED LESSONS by arrangement in silk painting, watercolour, Brusho inks, mixed media, acrylic or silk fusion.

 

Biography

In 2001 Tessa was elected member of the Society of Women Artists and the Society of Floral Painters and is a member of the Guild of Silk Painters.
She paints flowers, landscapes and seascapes and a common thread running through her work is an interest in the patterns within the composition as well as a love of colour.
She has exhibited at the Mall Galleries, Westminster Gallery, Mottisfont Abbey, local galleries and in France and Switzerland as well as being an exhibiting member of the Dorking Group of Artists.
She has contributed to several books and magazines including a series of 3 articles introducing painting flowers on silk with step by step demonstrations (09,10)and the most recent a lavender landscape in watercolour (July 10) all for the Leisure Painter magazine July 09 and Aug 09,
Exploring Oil Pastels in SAA NOV 08 Paint magazine, Peinture sur Soie, (a French silk painting magazine) April 07, Editions de SAXE and had work featured in Surrey Life magazine July 08.
Most years, though not this year she exhibits lavender paintings at the Carshalton Lavender Open Days, details www.carshaltonlavender.org
