Biography
Richard Savage born in the north England in 1962, and now works from his Cambridgeshire studio- gallery, which is open to the public for open art sessions for beginners and improvers on Mondays 10am – 12 noon and Thursday evenings 7pm – 9pm.

It is also open by arrangement for private viewings and one on one tuition.

Richard Savage is a published figurative artist who has been producing his artwork commensally for more than 20 years

He strives to make his art work challenging and thought provoking. His work is as diverse as human nature itself and his aim is to capture a celebration of life in all its wonderful shades. Richard, works mainly in acrylics but is also happy working in oils, pastels, line and wash, watercolour and mixed media. He draws inspiration from classical art, admiring the styles of Rafael and Rembrandt and the contemporary artists Boris Vallejo and Jack Vettriano.

The studio sessions concentrate on helping artist create the images they want to create. The sessions are friendly and good humoured and reasonably priced at £5 for a 2 hour session

Richard's current projects are concentrating on life like figurative art, producing illustrations for four publishers in the USA and has more than 30 covers and more than 100 illustrations in currently print. He has never shied away from provocative topics that include: fetish, gothic, gay, lesbian, fantasy.

"I like my work to have a sexy feel to it, but hope people see beyond the titillation to the real erotic sensuality below." This year a new project has been illustrations for book covers and to date 3 have been published and another 2 are due for publication before the end of the year. He is always happy to consider new projects and commissions.

The artist sells his work mainly over the internet, to his home market in the UK. and there is a high percentage of work going to the United States. He has also sells well globally to a growing and appreciative audience.
