Biography

I have painted all my life, at the age of 16 I won a scholarship to the Salisbury School of Art. I worked through various artistic medias, including pottery and sculpture. My main passion was for oil painting and colour. One of my earliest paintings was full of texture and movement, of a Spanish dancer. I have moved through most mediums over the years, but I have now returned to my love of oils and paint fantasy trees combined with dance movement. I also now use Encaustic wax, which has become a new passion, allowing me to experiment with colour and movement.
I have in the past worked as a professional artist, mainly in commercial art. I have always managed to find the time to paint and have my own studio. I still do exhibit when possible.
