My name is Sharon Herbert and I live in Carmarthenshire, South Wales.
I have always liked art but chose to ignore my desire to make art my career and instead, did my nurse training. I have now been a nurse for more than 35 years.
A few years ago I needed something for myself, some "me" time so I enrolled on some watercolour classes run by my local authority. I gained some certificates and attended classes for 4 years. I then discovered pastels and began to do animal and pet portraits for friends and work mates. The demand for this has now encouraged me to make it a more commercial venture.
