Sue Ford
Sue was born in York and now lives in Stokesley, North Yorkshire.
Sue's love for art started at a young age and in 1976, Sue was delighted to win a trip to Rome with Nancy Kominsky in the ‘Paint along with Nancy’ TV Programme, with a water colour painting of her grandfather.
Sue has exhibited her work within the Royal Society of Marine Artists (RSMA) Mall Galleries, London and The Women's Society of Artists (SWA).
Work is shown through local and national exhibitions

2009 During the summer months I’ll be involved in two Exhibitions, the first is a little unusual, and all the pictures are to be auctioned.
ART AUCTION Great Ouseburn Village Hall, with a professional auctioneer. Proceeds are in aid of Village Hall. On Friday June 12th people from the local villages plus invited guests will be able to view the works, meet the artists and place commission bids on paintings, should they not be attending the auction on Saturday. Next Day, Saturday 13th, the public will be able to view the paintings between 11am and 12pm followed by the Auction. Refreshments will be served throughout the day. The village of Great Ouseburn is situated 13 miles from York and 4 miles from Boroughbridge and close to the A1.
PANNET GALLERY WHITBY ‘Expressions’, artists Lynne Herkmen, Sue Ford and Barbara Renton Wood. Preview Friday 10th July to August 5. The Pannet Gallery within the Pannet Museum. Open Tuesday to Sundays.

My teaching is directed towards helping students compose a picture. Planning colour, media and style to be used. Encouraging students to develop their own styles. Please look at my events page, there are lost of interesting courses and holidays available.
On the Staithes holidays www.staithesgallery.co.uk - we work outside and have the use of a studio. Balmoral again working from different locations each day and in the studio. Other residential holidays are mainly studio based - Cober Hill and Delmont Hotels are both in Scarborough
I've published several articles for Lesiure Painter and The Paint Magazine, covering pastel, acrylic with oil pastel, Pan Pastels. perspective and aerial perspective,
I teach weekly classes - Monday at Natures World, Acklam (Watercolours) 10-2.30pm. Tuesdays - Inspirational art, 10.15 to 12.15pm, Tuesday afternoons- watercolours and Tuesday evenings 7-9 at Nunthorpe School.
Wednesdays at Stokesley Town Hall, 9.30-12 noon, (Watercolours) Thursdays at Langdon Square, Coulby Newham, 10-12noon. (Watercolours)
Further Education classes at Nunthorpe School, Monday evening, Tuesday morning, (mixed media) and afternoon and evening, all in watercolour.
Courses start in January, after easter and September
