Sandie Turner
Over the past 15 years I have studied art in various forms and media and have enjoyed experimenting with various medias and textures, but what attracts and excites me the most in all art work is the use of colour and the freedom when applied to paper.
So having used and experimented with all sorts of materials, I have gone back to the purity of watercolour and the clarity it gives of light and energy on paper.
My off-the-wall approach is to bring light, and a frequency of energy with colour into subjects that you would not normally take a second look at.
The colour and freedom catches the eye and draws you in, and once the colour has captured your thoughts, you are then prepared to take that second look and start to see things that maybe other viewers do not see…..The imagination then takes over, my purpose is then complete!!
So finally, after years of trying to establish unique ways of applying mixed medias and textures to paper, I have finally found where I should be and thats watercolour.
All my pictures are available in Giclee Print format, they are open source prints and each one is individually signed and delivered in a tube for safety.
The high quality of the prints print creates a wonderful copy of the original watercolour.
