Tuition

PA Paul Hewson offers daily courses and short residential painting breaks for beginners and improver's throughout the year.
Classes
Beginners watercolour classes are held on Monday mornings 9.30-11.30, and afternoons 14.00-16.00 at the Wyke Regis Art Studio. On Thursday 10.00-12.00 he runs a beginners watercolour group at St. Mary's Church hall Brading. Paul also teaches Adult Arts classes at Porchfield, Freshwater, Carisbrooke, Sandown, Ventnor, Ryde and Chale for the IOW council.
Workshops
Full day Workshops 09.30 - 16.00.Saturdays and Sundays each month. Teaching is step by step, including colour mixing, brush techniques and composition. Numbers are limited to a maximum of six in the Wyke Regis art studio. Cost £45 including lunch. If you wanted a watercolour break, choose the Saturday and Sunday workshops. Price £145 including B&B. Biography

Paul Hewson is a self taught watercolour and acrylic landscape artist. He has been running beginners classes and weekend courses since 2004 at his Wyke Regis Art Studio on the Isle of Wight. He also runs weekly local classes in the Studio, and teaches Adult Learning Classes for the IOW council around the Island. He is an active member of the Isle of Wight Art club.

 

Exhibitions

Each year I hold a solo exhibition on August Bank holiday weekend in Newtown Church on the Isle of Wight. Although the location is quite remote, I normally meet about 200 people over the bank holiday weekend. Over the years I have sold paintings to collectors from New Zealand, Australia, Canada, America, Malawi and France. It is also an opportunity for visitors to request commissions. Budding artists are also encouraged to improve their techniques and join one of my many courses. The event raises several hundred pounds each year towards the Church upkeep. I hope to see you here this year.
