Tuition

Nicola has a varied background in art, having held workshops in a variety of decorative paint techniques and teaching at college level

Recently relocating to a pretty village in the Languedoc region of France, she undertakes private commissions in trompe l'oeil, murals, portraits and stages exhibitions.

She also teaches art classes in Quarante, near Capastang between Narbonne and Beziers.

She offers plenty of individual guidance and encouragement to both the experienced and absolute beginner, working mostly in water based media on a variety of subjects.

Paying attention to all basic techniques she also offers sensitive support on individual projects. Most of all the classes are FUN..

Individual tuition also available either at my studio in Quarante or at your place.
I have now started online courses and workshops.

Biography

Nicola Blakemore first trained as a graphic artist then forged a career working in advertising, travel, newspapers and public relations before returning to her creative roots.

Now working as an artist in a number of disciplines she has created murals for a variety of clients both in the UK and abroad, and has been commissioned both in portraiture and abstract 'art to order'.

She seems to be able to turn her artistic hand to many creative tasks including, calligraphy, wedding stationery, gilding, trompe l'oeil, painted furniture and even stage scenery design.
