Biography

After drawing prolifically during childhood I went on to gain a degree In Graphic Design but edged towards fine art enjoying the freedom of painting. Largely self taught I settled primarily on acrylic paints though I do pastel, oils, digital and other mediums on occasion. I am easily inspired, I find nearly everything interesting! As evident in my numerous subject matter. However it usually boils down to light and atmospheric effects as well as shadows, textures and patterns. I have been a director of a small London Gallery and have completed a number of Illustration and private art commissions. My original art has been purchased by private buyers in the UK and overseas. As a member of several art groups and societies I also exhibit quite regularly locally and at various locations around the UK but have also shown work in London, Paris and the USA. I have also taught/demonstrated my art and the creative process at local schools and conducted some private art tuition. I also possess a PTLLS certificate to teach adults in the Lifelong Learning Sector.
