For three years from 1994 I tutored watercolours, oils and pastels at The 'Independent Artists Workshop'; a private Art School in Aberdeen, Scotland.
In 1994 my wife and I moved to a beautiful riverside property in Aberdeenshire, Scotland where we had a superb studio & gallery built and started running residential painting holidays. Now in our 11th year we have had painting guests from all over the world and built up a very strong base of 'regulars'. Each year, in addition to our holidays in Aberdeenshire, I tutor parties of painters in other areas of Scotalnd as well as abroad. During 2007 I will also be tutoring holidays in Tuscany ; on the dramatic Isle of Skye and West Coast of Scotalnd, and at a beautiful Lochside Hotel at St. Fillans, Perthshire.
From 2002 - 2005 I was an official portraiture demonstrator at the annual Artists & Illustrator's Show in Islington, London.

Biography
When I left school I was strongly recommended for Art School but as a young man chose a more exciting career in the army where I enjoyed a successful career for 26 years. Throughout my career I did however paint regularly, taking commissions and entering work in local art exhibitions both at home and overseas. In 1989 my passion for painting took over and I took early retirement to paint full-time. After becoming an established professional in Aberdeen city and the North East of Scotland in the early nineties I was invited to join the staff of 'The Independent Painters Workshop' (a Private Art School in Aberdeen) and after tutoring there for three years moved to a beautiful riverside property in the country from where my wife and I have been manning my own gallery and running residential painting holidays for the past ten years.
Highlights of my painting career have been having a painting published in The 'International Pastel Artist' in the Master Pastelists of The World Showcase; being commissioned to paint portraits of Field Marshal The Lord Inge (when he was a General) and Gen Sir Richard Dannatt; to be an official demonstrator at the Art Materials Show, London (organised by The Artists & Illustrators Magazine) for 4 years.
