Biography
taught in schools and Fe College for 30 years 1967-1996
Founded Blue Beret Artist Group with Phil Russell ,Charles Evans & Michael Ewart 1998
Retired from teaching full time 1996 still Teach on workshops etc to Adults[.Clubs and art Societies etc]
Lived on the Northumbrian coast for 25 years developed an interest in texture,light and structure often using found beach materials in paintings and reliefs.
Now living in the wilds of Northumberland .Redesdale provides plenty of inspiration with moors ,quarries,Kielderwater and the colours of heather.oil seed rape ,poppies to set the imagination racing.My work is intended to promote feelings and perceptions rather than literal observations.
