Biography
Marilyn won the SAA Artist of the year 1999 with the water colour "Ben at Weymouth"
She had great fun taking part in the Channel 4 program water colour challenge in Bath City Centre, after she had been painting for 2 years.
Winning the Daler Rowney Front page competition offered the opportunity to hold a trio exhibition in the Royal Common Wealth Club in London.
In the year 2000 a painting was accepted for the Royal Inistitute of painters in water colour.
2003 saw a painting of the Salisbury Street musicians reach the finals of the International Artist magazine.
Marilyn teaches regulary in Dorset and other areas. Her first book, people Aren't Scary (Really)50 pages of colour illustrations and 10 demonstrations of ideas to include people in your paintings, made easy. Her 2nd book is Animals on the loose with 10 demonstratios to crreate atmospheric unusal impressionistic animals.Out now Painting Dorset in water colour 140pages with 33 ideas and demonstrations.
