Tuition
I enjoy the challenge of providing demonstrations and workshops to art societies. My aim is to give an interesting and informative session - a real teaching experience.
As a Freelance Artist, I offer a wide range of demonstrations in different (or mixed) media, and sometimes tailor the event to specific requests by the society. I share techniques and provide an entertaining narrative.
Current fees are - £130.00 plus travel expenses for a demonstration.
- £160.00 plus travel expenses for a 10a.m until 4p.m. workshop.
As an Adult Education Lecturer, I also have 7 classes and various weekend workshops in the Northbrook College Sussex Adult Education prospectus to suit all interests and abilities in various media.
IF YOU ARE INTERESTED - PLEASE LOOK AT THE NORTHBROOK COLLEGE ON-LINE PROSPECTUS AND CONTACT ME IF YOU NEED ANY FURTHER INFORMATION.
I teach students on a one to one basis as much as possible in my classes.
I think the most important aspect of teaching is to concentrate on confidence building and the understanding of how the things we see and tackle as subjects are put together.

Biography
I live in West Sussex where I grew up with the South Downs on one side and the English Channel on the other. This has given me an appreciation of panoramic views and atmospheric seascapes. In fact I am most interested in conveying an atmosphere in a location rather than the location itself.
I studied at Worthing Art College and then at Exeter to gain a B.A.(Hons) in Fine Art.
Since leaving higher education I have taken on varied commissions in diverse media including large mural work.
From 2001, I have been increasing my teaching and now take 7 Adult Education classes a week for Northbrook College as well as freelance demonstrations, workshops and critiques.
For four years now I have exhibited in the Adur Art Trail gaining excellent feedback from visitors to the venues.
New works have included a high proportion of ceramic "Paintings" this year and associated 3d work. My B.A. is in "Fine Art Ceramics".
I am the President of the Downland Art Society who meet at Walberton near Arundel.
