Biography
I was born in Coatbridge Lanarkshire.
I Studied at Glasgow College of Building and Printing and was awarded the prize for Illustration. I worked as a freelance illustration tutor for Renfrewshire Council’s Out of School Learning Group, whose anthology - ‘The Ocean Calls the Tide’ - was published October 2006. I also carry out workshops and talks for other groups/schools and and have recently joined LIVE LITERATURE SCOTLAND through the Scottish Book Trust. I am a member of Scottish Illustrators and www.scottishbooktrust.com
I illustrated Septimus Pitt and the Grumbleoids a collection of poetry for children by Brian Whittingham. It was launched at the Aye Write!literary festival. It has recently been chosen as 'Books from Scotland' book of the month.
My present projects include a children’s picture book - Princess Shriekarina! and a story by George Mackay Brown: The Nativity Bell and the Falconer. My second book Rhyme Time was launched at The Mitchell Library Glasgow Nov 2007.
At present I am working on illustrations for Hodder Gibson and Floris books.
I will be participating at the Aye Write Book Festival 2008.
I enjoy walking the dog while pondering on the possibilities of constructing a time machine....the perfect time management solution!
