I am a Professional artist based in Coddington, Newark on Trent, Nottinghamshire.
I have been painting and drawing since I was child, my parents would say it was an easy to encourage given it was inexpensive and kept me quiet for hours. After leaving school I was lucky enough to study my passion at both college and university.
I have a fine art degree and have tried a wide variety of mediums and subjects, including printmaking. In recent years I have enjoyed painting in watercolour the most, this medium allows me to express, great light, colour and atmosphere in my paintings, but most of all I enjoy the unpredictable nature and the creation of a unique piece of work every time.
I am a professional artist, I sell pieces of work regularly, often to repeat customers who like my style and watch my website for new pieces. I exhibit and sell work in shows locally. I hold a solo exhibition and sale of paintings and open studio event, in Newark annually in May. I have sold work as far afield as Australia, America, and Norway.
I’m an associated artist with Windsor and Newton, and have published articles for Chroma paints and the SAA. I work closely with the SAA as they supply most of my materials I sell to my students.
I run art classes in Newark, Nottinghamshire and have a series of day workshops on Saturdays where you can learn to paint one of my pictures step by step. I run painting holidays and I offer private tuition tailored to the individual. I do demonstrations and workshops for art clubs and other groups. I also do corporate work, whether this be a commission or tuition based on fun, team building and charity events.
I also undertake commissions from photographs or a specific subject for a unique and special gift.
