I used to paint when a teenager, but followed my other dream of becoming an astronomer instead, and went to The Royal Greenwich Observatory, then in Sussex.
The paints got left behind, life got in the way, and it was many years before I returned to the craft. One rainy November day, when I was ill, I found some old paints I still had, a brush and some paper, and painted my first picture for many years. It was hopeless, of course, but the bug came back!
I now paint and/or design every spare minute. I have expanded my repertoire into the world of textiles; specifically crochet - see my textiles gallery. I exhibit regularly, design & produce greeting cards, and have even had some decent sales in recent months. A pity I hadn't taken the other career path in the first place!
