I live near to Lyme Regis, Axminster, Seaton and Sidmouth areas. I have lived and worked here since 2001. Prior to this I lived in Buckinghamshire and used to exhibit my work regularly in the Bucks Art Week Exhibitions over a span of more than 15 years. Since being on the Jurassic Coast my work has expanded and so has my teaching.
I still enter into local shows, but adore sharing the different media I love to work with, this includes, oils, watercolours, pastels, charcoal, acrylics, inks, encaustic wax, gouache, and silk painting which is a speciality.
Subject matter can range from still life, flowers, seascapes and landscapes, portraiture and animals.
I work in a range of sizes on canvas, paper, silk, metal and wood.
I run Workshop Days and if there are a group of 4 friends can run a specific workshop for you at your request. I work with complete beginners and intermediate levels.
There are local hotels and B & B's if you would like to create a short painting holiday.
Biography
Lyn Marie Whiteman Artist /Tutor Professional Associate with the www.saa.co.uk. Teaching and Painting since 1989 originally from the Chilterns, now residing in Devon Dorset borders Jurassic coast near Lyme Regis and the sea. Incorporate Self Development into some of my 'Special' workshops focusing on a colour to develop understanding of qualities and benefits. Adore working with Colour/light/music/feeling. Networking.
