This summer has seen a recent move to near Chichester, West Sussex, although I have loved the past 11 years when in the Lyme, Seaton and Sidmouth area. I have been running art and self development workshops and painting Professionally for over 23 years,there, and prior to that in South Buckinghamshire.
I adore sharing the different media I work with, this includes, oils, watercolours, pastels, charcoal, acrylics, inks, encaustic wax, gouache, and silk painting which is a speciality.
Subject matter can range from still life, flowers, seascapes and landscapes, portraiture and animals.
I work in a range of sizes on canvas, paper, silk, metal and wood.
I run Workshop Days or weekends,and if there are a group of 10+ I can run a specific workshop for you at your request. I work with complete beginners and intermediate levels.
Biography
Lyn Marie Whiteman Artist /Tutor Professional Associate with the www.saa.co.uk. I have been Teaching and Painting Professionally,since 1989, I attended Amersham and Wycombe College as a mature Student and have a Diploma in Fine Art, Painting and Drawing 1988. I have run weekly sessions, weekend workshops, and full days. Silk Painting courses at Dillington House, and have presented many workshops and demonstrations to Art Clubs and Societies, including Lyme Regis, Chideock, Axminster, Thorncombe, Sherborne and Seaton. Originally, from the Chilterns, I have very recently moved to West Sussex, near Chichester. I run workshops and 1:1 sessions, and I have a way of working that encourages students to try new things and feel confident and inspired in the process.
