I teach weekly painting classes based in West Sussex that are suitable for all levels of competence. For those wishing to take their painting to the next level, there is also a weekly advanced class.
I cover a wide range of subject matter, from landscapes to still life. Each class focuses on the elements of colour, composition, perspectives as well as tone. Students are encouraged to use their preferred medium. My aim is to inspire and to nurture each student's own abilities.
Usually, once a month, I run a day workshop on a Saturday covering topics such as flower painting, landscapes, trees, and waterways. Again these workshops are suitable for all mediums and abilities.
All classes and workshops are small with a relaxed friendly atmosphere. Students are encouraged to work at their own pace and develop their unique style. Full tuition is given, together with demonstrations, helpful tips and suggestions. Most importantly, the aim is to have fun whilst learning!
Weekly classes will continue between April and June in Henfield, Lancing and Upper Beeding. New students are very welcome.
During July and August there is a break from the weekly classes, which gives me the ideal time to host six week dedicated courses!
Each course will cover a specific medium and will be suitable for beginners and improvers alike. The mediums covered will pen and wash, Drawing and oils/acrylics. Each of the courses will cover a wide range of subjects and techniques and are designed to help progress each artist?s ability.
The cost of the six week courses is £65 and refreshments are available. Each of the venues has disabled facilities and access.

I have always loved painting. Some of my earliest memories are of paintings that I painted as a child, and being taken to art galleries from a very early age! I have had no formal training, but have spent considerable time with various artists and mentors learning my trade! I have been tutoring for 4 years and in that time gained a good reputation locally.
My passion is capturing the effects of light, trees, flowers, water – well pretty much everything concerning painting!
I also very much enjoy helping others to improve their painting skills. My aim is to inspire and to nurture each student's own abilities.
