Biography

I live in Berkshire and have been painting for many years. My background was in Textiles having obtained a Diploma in Printed Textile Design in Melbourne Australia.
I started painting in Watercolours initially, then my love of other mediums grew and now I paint in Oils, Acrylics, Mixed Media, Pastels, Pen and Wash, and Inks. I still enjoy working with fabrics and textiles creating wall hangings and pictures using hand and machine embroidery and other bits and bobs.

I enjoy taking part in West Berkshire Open Studios which runs during May each year. I am available for commissions and can be contacted via email lorraine@gotadsl.co.uk

Exhibitions

I participate in West Berkshire Open Studios from my studio address in Hermitage, Berkshire. My studio will be open from 11 am to 5 pm on 5,6,7,9,11,12,13,20 and 23 May 2012.
My work can also be seen in the satellite exhibitions connected with Open Studios.

I have had my own one man exhibitions in Berkshire over the years and have participated in various exhibitions run by different organisations being part of the Queen’s Silver Jubilee and Golden Jubilee celebrations.

I belong to Newbury Art Group and exhibit regularly with them and at art exhibitions in and around Berkshire whenever I can.
