Carol A Kibble
I grew up in South Wales and spent my childhood exploring the Welsh
countryside and getting to know the wildlife therein. At an early age, I
was never without a pencil and sketchpad and this habit has never left me.
When I married in the 1980's, I moved to Wiltshire. It is here that I have
developed my skills as an Artist, inspired by the wildlife literally on my
own doorstep. I am fortunate to live in a cottage with a large garden backing onto open farmland. I am visited daily by a large number of bird species and
frequently by squirrel, roe and muntjac deer, rabbits, badger and hedgehog. I am also close to the Wiltshire Downs, home to numerous species including one of my favourites, the hare. I knew that my destiny was to paint and the subject I am naturally drawn to is my first love - British wildlife.
I still love visiting my native Wales in particular the Brecon Beacons and
the North Pembrokeshire coast; areas literally bursting with wildlife. To
gather more painting material and to get close to more elusive species I
frequent nature reserves and Bird of Prey Centres and family outings often
double as field trips!
I have exhibited extensively in the West of England, South Wales, London, Tyne and Wear and also in Germany. Locally, I am represented by the Gallery at Handel House, Devizes.
I am happy to be commisioned and my pastel portraits of animal and human studies make superb gifts. I use top quality materials and guarantee an excellent likeness of a subject. This attracts a clientele who wish to invest in the more classical style of artwork where attention to detail and a high degree of skill are essential.

2007 Exhibition Dates
Solo Exhibition at The Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust, Llanelli, West Wales. April 2007. On 6th and 7th April I will be running workshops at The Wetlands Centre.
2008 Exhibition Dates
Solo Exhibition at The Wetlands Centre of Wales, Carmarthen from 1 to 31 May. I'll be running a pastel painting workshop at the centre on 30th May.
Solo Exhibition at Dare Valley Country Park, South Wales from 14 June to 6 July.

'Painting with Pastels' - Absolute beginners, beginners and improvers classes and workshops available in Wiltshire (Goatacre near RAF Lyneham).
Courses are two hours per session and run for 10 weeks.
Workshops 10am - 3pm with a break for lunch. A warm welcome plus tea, coffee and biscuits are guaranteed!
Carol will also travel to venues within Wiltshire with a maximum of 12 students to run workshops at a cost of £150(inclusive of travel if under 25 miles).
