Kathy Kavanagh was born in London where she studied at St Martin's School of Art.
She is an intuitive artists whose work is influenced by her fascination with the ever changing light and energies that dance around bodies of water and people.
She uses different media according to need to express her experience of a moment but currently prefers pencil, acrylics and mixed media.
She particularly enjoys drawing people and loves to catch an aspect of character.
She now lives in Hampshire and shows her work across the Southern Counties of England and has become best known for her pencil drawings and portraits where she continues to be in demand for commissioned pencil portraits.
