I don't have a studio large enough to run courses although I would like to be able to do that. However I will travel reasonable distances in the West Midlands and surrounding areas to coach, on a one to one basis, in watercolour.
John Walker (West Midlands)
I am retired and I am now able to devote more time to my hobby of painting. I have been involved with art for most of my life but only took things seriously in 1981, when I was recovering from surgery. I needed to exercise, so taking a sketchbook and camera on longish walks seemed the ideal thing to do. I love working in oils, watercolour, pastel and acrylic. I also like to draw in pen and ink. I am hard pressed to decide which I enjoy most and I work with them all, with equal relish.
I am a member of a local art group in the West Midlands and along with my friends I exhibit twice a year.
I find that landscapes and seascapes provide me with ample inspiration, although I do paint the occasional still-life.
