Tuition
I am a fully qualified tutor mainly teaching from my own premises in Derbyshire where i have a gallery overlooking the canal in the grounds of Moira Furnace Museum. Here, i teach watercolour classes and drawing classes on a daily basis. I also teach on a private basis for art groups, W.I. meetings and corporate events (recently worked for Adidas on an art campaign and regularly work with Pulmonary Hypertension Association UK). I also teach full day workshops throughout the Country at beautiful locations with only fully qualified artists and tutors who can give professional advise and guidance. These run fortnightly on a range of topics and in different media. I recently completed a series of mosaics situated in the reading gardens at Markfield library and Newbold Verdon and now teach classes in this new and exciting medium. Something else i am enjoying at the moment, is teaching classes on how to make 99.9% silver jewellery including the keepsake fingerprints. Also a professional muralist having completed many hand painted wall murals in children's bedrooms, playrooms and nurserys, i have just set up a new website for this side of my business entitled 'Minky Murals by Jo Allsopp please visit the site for more detailed information. My most recent commission was the complete renovation of a carved village sign for Measham Parish Council. I now organize painting trips to Nice where the first trip is to be in April 2013.
