A professional musician and teacher who currently resides in West Yorkshire with his wife Jane. John has been drawing since an early age specialising in finely detailed technical subjects, particularly aircraft, many of which are being used by the RAF for promotional purposes. John has ‘signed' his Battle of Britain prints at recent Royal International Air Tattoos at RAF Fairford and Cottesmore, where his work travelled to Japan and the US. From 2002 until present his work has been exhibited at the Mall Galleries London (‘Guild of Aviation Artists' – Aviation pictures of the year) the ‘AeroArt' exhibition at the Museum of Flight, Edinburgh, and at the Midland Aviation Museum, Coventry. He has completed several watercolour landscapes, but in particular uses this medium to enhance his popular aircraft 'montages'. He is currently working on a series of 'jazz players' in pastel and several of these were exhibited at the Marsden Jazz Festival where John was the Featured Artist. John also undertakes commissioned portraits.
