Having worked as a professional artist for many years Heather now runs workshops and classes in drawing, painting and sculpture from her studio overlooking Loch Ness, catering for all levels of ability. Although best known for her animal portraits she is also an accomplished all round artist producing life drawings, still life, landscape, portraits, cartoons, commercial artwork, book illustration and sculpture. Her classes are very popular and well attended. She is a great believer in one-to-one tuition and consequently her pupils get a lot of individual attention.

Biography
Heather Cary spent 10 years in the Army followed by a spell in the city prior to becoming a professional artist. Best known for her animal portraits which are in private collections world wide, she also draws and paints many other subjects, in addition producing sculptures and commercial greetings cards. She has studied at the Slade, Leith School of Art and worked alongside many well established painters over the years. She was commissioned by the BBC to produce the cartoon illustrations for Sarah Kennedy's " Terrible Pets". Her hobbies include fishing, riding, travel and reading.
