Artist Name: Gwyneth HarperBiography
I was born during the war in South Wales. Mum and I moved to England as the war ended and Dad came home. I lived at Newhaven and was educated at Newhaven Secondary Modern School. I have 'O' level GCE in Art. A fact of which I am very proud. I continued with my painting until marriage and children came along. Eventually 'the children', who now have children of their own, left to make their own ways in the world and peace, quiet and time reappeared. I acquired a new sketch pad and set of watercolours and wombled off to my local evening school. I have now been painting largely for my own amusement for the last 20 years. I am now recently retired and intend to extend my horizons to other media and many many more pictures.
Exhibitions
Gwyneth Harper, Dawn Wells and Annie Weedon will be holding an open house exhibition as part of the Lewes Artwave 2010. We will be open 11am-5pm on 28-30th August and 4th-5th September 2010 at 2 Decoy Cottages, Laughton, East Sussex BN8 6DJ. We are on the B2l24 inbetween Ringmer and Laughton.
